What Is the CAEC (GED) Test?
The Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) is Canada's official high school equivalency program, replacing the GED in May 2024. Designed specifically for Canadians — reflecting Canadian culture, history, and educational standards — the CAEC gives adults who never completed high school a recognized credential to unlock new opportunities.
A successful candidate receives a Canadian High School Equivalency Certificate — recognized by employers, post-secondary institutions, and training providers across Canada.
